Grandson’s Hand Website Privacy Policy

At Grandson’s Hand, we understand that privacy, dignity, and trust are extremely important — especially when serving senior citizens and families inside their homes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and how customers can contact us with privacy concerns.

Information We Collect

Grandson’s Hand may collect limited customer information needed to schedule, provide, and safely complete services. This may include: Customer name, phone number, email address, home address, requested service details, appointment dates and times, payment details, emergency contact information when provided, and notes related to service preferences. We may also collect photos, videos, or recordings only when needed for safety, service verification, customer communication, or documentation, and only according to the recording policy below.

How We Use Customer Information

We use customer information only for business-related purposes, including: Scheduling services, confirming appointments, completing requested tasks, communicating with customers or family members, processing payments, improving service quality, handling customer concerns, and protecting the safety of customers, workers, and the business. We do not sell customer information.

Home Privacy Promise

Grandson’s Hand respects every customer’s home as a private space. Workers are expected to only enter approved areas of the home and only perform the services requested by the customer or authorized family member. We do not search through personal belongings, open drawers, cabinets, closets, rooms, paperwork, medications, safes, mail, financial documents, or electronic devices unless the customer specifically asks us to do so as part of the service.

Recording and Safety Policy

Grandson’s Hand may use recording devices, such as Meta smart glasses, for safety, accountability, and service verification. Customers will be informed before recording begins. Recording will not be used in sensitive private spaces such as bathrooms, bedrooms, changing areas, medical-care spaces, or any area where the customer requests no recording. Meta’s own privacy guidance recommends turning glasses off in sensitive spaces such as doctor’s offices, bathrooms, locker rooms, schools, and places of worship. Customers may ask questions about recording before service begins. If a customer does not want recording inside the home, Grandson’s Hand will discuss available options, such as recording only outside the home, recording only before and after service, or using written service confirmation instead.

Photos and Videos

Photos or videos may be used to document completed work, confirm service quality, or protect against disputes. We will not post photos or videos of a customer, their home interior, address, personal belongings, family photos, documents, or identifying details for marketing without permission.

Payment Information

Grandson’s Hand may use third-party payment processors to complete payments. We do not intentionally store full card numbers or sensitive banking information unless required by the payment provider.

Sharing Information

Grandson’s Hand may share limited customer information only when necessary, such as with trusted workers, scheduling tools, payment processors, insurance providers, legal advisors, or law enforcement when required by law. We do not allow workers or contractors to use customer information for personal reasons.

Data Protection

We take reasonable steps to protect customer information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. The FTC recommends businesses protect personal information by understanding what information they collect, who has access to it, and how it moves through the business. Grandson’s Hand aims to limit access to customer information to people who need it to perform their work.

Data Retention

We keep customer information only as long as reasonably needed for scheduling, service records, payment records, safety, legal, insurance, and business purposes. Information that is no longer needed will be deleted, securely destroyed, or anonymized when possible.

Customers may contact Grandson’s Hand to ask what information we have, request corrections, ask for deletion when legally possible, or raise concerns about privacy.

Data Breach Response

If Grandson’s Hand discovers that customer information may have been accessed without authorization, we will investigate the issue, take steps to reduce harm, and notify affected customers when required by law. The FTC also recommends notifying customers if their data was stolen and directing them to recovery resources.

Changes to This Policy

Grandson’s Hand may update this Privacy Policy as the business grows or as laws change. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new effective date.
